LinkedIn has unveiled a new set of post analytics features designed to give users deeper insights into how their content is performing and sparking audience action.

The platform’s latest update introduces metrics such as profile activity and link engagement, allowing professionals and creators to see beyond likes and impressions to understand the real impact of their posts.

The new analytics are now rolling out globally and include visibility into how many users visited your profile or followed you as a direct result of a specific post. Premium Business subscribers will also be able to see click-through rates on their custom call-to-action buttons—such as links to websites or newsletters—offering an additional layer of measurement for campaigns and lead generation.

LinkedIn wants to help “spark interest”

“We often hear our members ask for more insight into how professionals are engaging with their content beyond likes or views,” LinkedIn explained in a blog post announcing the changes. “These signals reflect how your content is sparking interest, growing your presence, and motivating your audience to take action.”

The update arrives as LinkedIn continues to position itself as a central hub for professional content and creator engagement, especially in the wake of declining usage on platforms like X (formerly Twitter). Enhanced analytics will help creators measure the broader impact of their efforts, supporting strategic content planning and more effective community-building.

Despite some confusion earlier this month around the future of LinkedIn’s Premium CTA buttons, the company has since confirmed that these will remain available for Premium Business users. The new link engagement metrics will help subscribers track how effectively these buttons drive traffic and conversions.

With more users turning to LinkedIn for professional updates, thought leadership, and business insight, the platform is doubling down on features that support its growing creator economy. From monetisation tools to in-depth analytics, the focus is increasingly on providing regular contributors with the data and incentives they need to grow their presence.

Users can access the new post analytics by clicking the “View analytics” button on any of their recent posts.
