Zoom has inaugurated its new Experience Center in the heart of London. This first-of-its-kind flagship facility is designed to immerse customers and partners in Zoom’s products, solutions, and values.

Following the opening of its new office in Holborn, the Zoom Engagement Hub, in August 2023, the Experience Center provides employees with a modern workplace blueprint for the hybrid era. Frederik Maris, Head of Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) at Zoom, stated, “The UK continues to be Zoom’s door to EMEA, and is one of our largest key markets outside the US.

Our latest investment in the region underlines Zoom’s long-term commitment to the UK, where we have already seen the number of full-time employees nearly double in the last three years. The new Zoom Experience Center is a testament to our cutting-edge technology and the creativity that Zoom can enable, raising the bar for our international footprint outside of the United States.”

Zoom’s UK Journey

Zoom’s commitment to the UK began in 2013, with its first office opening in 2018. The company has played a significant role in integrating AI-powered communication and collaboration across the UK. Dave Grant, Head of Customer Experience Organisation EMEA at Zoom, noted, “From facilitating hybrid work to enabling virtual classrooms and connecting loved ones across the country, Zoom has seamlessly integrated into the fabric of everyday life in the UK. Our platform has adapted to the unique needs of the UK market, continuously innovating to provide secure, reliable, and user-friendly solutions.”

Zoom’s customer base in the UK includes individual users and large enterprises, such as the Oracle Red Bull Racing Team, financial institutions like HSBC, organisations like the WWF, and health and public sector customers such as Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.

The Zoom Experience Center

The Zoom Experience Center, covering over 18,000 square feet, is located adjacent to the Engagement Hub. A central feature of the facility is the Lens Wall, a 125-foot-long ambient fabric wall that provides visitors with an immersive experience. The next-generation discovery showcase includes the world’s first curved LED screen with multi-touch interactivity, offering a dynamic 360-degree visual experience customised for each guest during demonstrations and workshops. The Boardroom of the Future, equipped with a floor-to-ceiling seamless curved 8K LED screen and state-of-the-art audio systems, exemplifies modern meeting technology powered by Zoom.

Zoom’s design strategy for the Experience Center highlights its commitment to sustainability, achieving Gold LEED certification, a globally recognised symbol of sustainability achievement. In alignment with its core value of care for the planet and communities, Zoom partnered with the Art for Impact (AFI) initiative. This collaboration, which includes Nicaraguan women’s collective Las Tejedoras, NGO Casa Congo, and global design firm Unispace, resulted in a custom-designed tapestry made from 3,500 plastic bags. This artwork is intended to inspire individual and corporate action in environmental conservation and social impact.
